About Alive

Learning

Learning

At Alive, we offer child-centred early learning for children from 6 months to 5 years. Our education program is designed to be responsive to the developmental needs of your child and is flexible for your family’s needs.

With us, your child is invited to take the first steps of their learning journey. Our learning spaces allow children to explore, relate, grow and develop with other children in a caring and safe environment.

Here, we believe how children learn shapes who they become. The Alive curriculum includes a focus on:

  • Social and emotional learning.
  • Movement.
  • STEM.
  • Numeracy.
  • Literacy.
  • Arts and expression.
  • Spirituality.

Please contact your local centre to learn more about our curriculum.

Thriving Community

Thriving Community

Our thriving community is characterised by educational excellence, quality staff and close relationships with families.

Our aim is to see each child develop both independently and socially as a member of our community. As each Alive centre is located with a Catholic School, families are immediately welcomed into the school community. Children attending Alive will have the opportunity to participate in learning experiences with the co-located school including Book Week and buddy activities, so children become familiar with the school environment for when it’s time for them to transition to school.

At Alive, every staff member is qualified with either a teaching degree or diploma and are committed to helping your child learn and develop. We encourage children to see themselves as important members of their community, and that their gifts and contributions are valued and appreciated.

Partnerships With Families

Partnerships With Families

We recognise that you’re the one who knows your child best, so we work in partnership with you to nurture your child’s full potential.

We recognise you as parents and caregivers are the first and primary educators in your child’s life and we acknowledge that families are diverse in many ways, including cultural and faith diversity. We welcome the rich diversity our children and their families bring to each centre.

At each centre, we prepare and provide nutritious meals with respect to cultural practices and developmental needs. If you have any specific requirements, please let us know.

Wellbeing

Wellbeing

Here at Alive, your child’s wellbeing is our measure of success.

Research shows the relationship and environments children participate in during their early years has a significant effect on their development into the future. At Alive, we provide a caring and supportive environment where children feel safe, respected and valued as individuals. This environment empowers children to develop socially and emotionally; allowing them to communicate and connect with others around them, resolve conflict, display kindness and cope with challenges.

At Alive, we respect that children develop differently. Each child is encouraged to be curious, take risks and try new things that lead to new discoveries.  We believe each child deserves the opportunity to become their own version of remarkable.
