Will Alive Centres be open all year round?

Our Centres open in early January each year, and are available to families throughout the year, including during the school term breaks, except for public holidays and an annual staff training day.  The Centres close pre-Christmas and the length of this closure will vary from year-to-year, depending on the days of the week the public holidays fall throughout this period.

Families are not charged for any day that the centre is not open, including public holidays. Please see the FAQ below for details of the closure dates during this period.

What are your closure dates over the Christmas period?

Please find below the closure dates for closure periods over Christmas from 2025 through to 2029/2030.

The structure of this closure period allows the Centre sufficient time to:

  • Complete an organised and thorough shutdown process

  • Reopen in a prepared and safe manner

  • Conduct essential planning for the new year

This schedule also ensures we continue to meet our licensing requirements regarding the number of operational weeks per year.
